Creating Photo Realistic Crystal Structure Output in WinGX is quite easy, call up the structure in Ortep-3, write a RASTER 3D file, go back into WinGX, configure a RASTEP file via the GUI, then Render a TIF file.
It should be noted that Ortep-3 can open a variety of files including Crystals, LHPM/Rietica, Fullprof and GSAS. So this can be used with file types other than Shelx.
The following styles of Photo Realistically rendered Structure Output are available within WinGX are described via run throughs.
Note: Because GIF files are only 256 colours, the original rendered TIF look of much higher quality
