Problems/Glitches with Writable CD-ROMs and Mastering Software
- In the past, the combination of PC, Win95, CD-Writer and mastering
software could be quite finicky to use.
- April 1996 to November 1997: Resulted in anywhere from 0 to 100%
success rate to burn CD.
- November 1997 - Present: Using Adaptec CD Creator 95-100%
success rate to burn CDs.
Recommend Setup:
- Overall, best to get everything (software/hardware) from
a single vendor so you limit being mucked around with incomapatabilities.
- Adaptec CD-Creator Software for Win95/NT.
- Pentium 120 Mhz with 32 Meg RAM or Better with Win95
- Fast 3 to 10 Gig IDE Hard-disk
- 2x to 4x writable CDR
- External modem or network card
