Differences SCHAKAL 97 / SCHAKAL 99
SCHAKAL 99 differs from SCHAKAL 97 mainly by the following items:
- Some bugs removed (see
BUGS section) and some others (hitherto
unknown) added.
- Substantially enhanced on-screen rotations mode, e.g.: facility to
rotate ball-and-stick models/space-filling models (slowly !) on-screen ;
90 degrees flips; zoom and pan functions.
- Option to translate CIF files
- Unambiguous alignment of crystallographic vectors
- Facility to use atom codes within the commands
'Xqt Line', 'XQT Arrow', 'XQt Region', 'Wrte Text'
- Facility to add user-defined "command line control fields" to
the GUI
- Permanence of directory changes.
- Unlimited number of Command files possible in DCF directories
- MS-Win: Selectable window size and editor; no Win 16 version.
- X-Win: only one (pure X-Win) version which is able to run under
16/24 bit colour X servers as well.
