I was born in 1977 in Lipetskii region of Russia (central region). In 1993 I passed
entrance exams to chemistry-specialised division of the Kholmogorov's
physic-mathematical school
at Moscow State University.
Immediately after the graduation, I successfully entered Moscow State
University to carry out a chemistry
degree. My diploma work is entitled "Ethenylcyclopentadienyl compounds of lithium: reactions with elementoorganic
electrophils and application in metallorganic synthesis" was carried out
at the Laboratory of Coordination Organometallic Compounds
under the supervision of Prof D.A. Lemenovskii and Drs M.V. Borzov and D.P. Krout'ko. After
graduating from the MSU in 2000, I undertook a PhD at the
University of Nottingham
in laboratory of crystal engineering under supervision of
Dr N.R. Champness
and
Prof M. Schröder.
I have passed my viva on the 17th of august of 2004, while working
with Judith A.K. Howard at the University of Durham. Currently I am working
for EMBL/EBI in Cambridge.
